This paper examines voltage drop challenges when powering 5G remote radio heads (RRHs) at the top of cell towers and how boost converters can help ensure the proper voltage is provided to these higher-powered RRHs. The paper discusses different types of boost converters and introduces a boost system that can provide high-efficiency power for 5G applications.
